Song comprehension activities utilizing the vocabulary, especially the nautical terms “σαλπάρει” (salparei), “σινιάλο” (sinialo), “ορτσάρει” (ortsarei) and the phrase "σηκώνει πανιά” (sēkōnei pania).
Identify the simile: “το θέατρο µοιάζει να είναι καράβι” (to theatro moiazei na einai karavi) and the metaphor: “πουλί του ονείρου, του µύθου σηµάδι” (pouli tou oneirou, tou mythou sēmadi), as figures of speech.
Practice the creation of similes and metaphors.
Symbols and symbolisms: theater, travel, ship, sails, port.
Refer to the world of theater and artistic creation. Theater as well as travel are different ways of exploring the world and ourselves.
Use the theatrical play for speech production and expansion of the vocabulary. The pupils are transformed into passengers on a boat and describe what they meet on their imaginary voyage, which places they visit, an alternation from the voyage in calm weather to the voyage in stormy weather. The pupils create their own lyrics in groups, making rhyme and having as a general theme the journey and short stories from a journey that they have made, using selected vocabulary as well as the help of a dictionary.
